A day in your life as a DMC Specialist

Under the supervision of the Manager and Supervisor this position is responsible for the timely and accurate processing of operations in the Deposit Maintenance Center.  Responsibilities include:  inputting, correcting and reviewing new and updated information.  If applicable and appropriate, assists in the business unit’s compliance with applicable laws, regulations, regulatory requirements and Bank policies and procedures, including but not limited to those related to Fair Banking, Anti-Money Laundering laws and regulations, Bank Secrecy Act and USA PATRIOT Act.  In addition, this position is responsible for demonstrating the Excellence in Sales/Service (ESS) philosophy by participating in and practicing the ESS discipline and behaviors. 

 

We’ll give you these important responsibilities…

  • Inputs, retrieves, researches and maintains new or updated information/records for the Deposit Maintenance Center. 
  • Identifies and corrects erroneous or incomplete information and records to ensure quality and compliant processing. 
  • Makes corrections as needed to ensure conformance with Bank standards.
  • Understands and stays abreast of regulatory changes. 
  • Works with teammates, operations specialists, supervisor and manager to maintain a current working knowledge of the functions within the department.   
  • Corresponds effectively when giving and receiving feedback.  
  • Assists with performing preliminary and final functional/performance testing for new or upgraded systems/applications. 
  • Assists with implementing changes or new functions. 
  • Performs all other miscellaneous responsibilities and duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education: 

High school diploma or GED.

 

Experience:

One year prior branch or bank experience preferred. 

 

Technical Skills: 

Demonstrated proficiency with personal computers in a networked environment and Microsoft applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, MS Access and PowerPoint) or similar software.  Must have working knowledge of relational database systems.  Knowledge and understanding of back office operations and processes helpful. 

 

Other Job Qualifications: 

Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills.  Must be analytical, detail oriented, organized.  Must be able to meet deadlines and handle multiple priorities.  Must possess and exercise critical thinking skills.  Able to work flexible hours including holidays, weekends and evenings as needed or assigned.
