Description

Under the direction of the Manager, this position provides personalized investment solutions to help clients work toward their long-term financial goals.  Assists in business unit’s compliance with applicable laws, regulations, regulatory requirements and Bank policies and procedures, including but not limited to those related to Fair Banking, Anti-Money Laundering laws and regulations, Bank Secrecy Act and USA PATRIOT Act.

   

Responsibilities

  • Interviews clients/researches and analyzes data to determine investment needs. 
  • Using Series 7 license, sells mutual funds, variable contracts, stocks, bonds, treasuries and options. 
  • Using Series 65/66 license, provide investment advisory services via managed account platform. 
  • Ensures that appropriate market transactions are executed.
  • Identifies, solicits and secures new business. 
  • Networks in the community and market area for prospecting purposes and to establish new referral sources. 
  • Refers clients to subject matter experts in the organization for cross sell opportunities. 
  • Actively tracks sales pipeline. 
  • Leverages support units or alternative delivery channels to match the servicing needs of the client. 
  • Must be able to provide own transportation and ability to commute and arrive at intended destination in a timely manner and/or as required.
  • Provides financial planning services and advice to customers on personal investment products purchases. 
  • Stays abreast of current market trends and recommends appropriate investment strategies. 
  • Services clients with their different investment needs (e.g. bonds, redemptions, stock transfers).

 

 


Qualifications

Education: 

  • High school degree, GED or equivalent work experience.
  • Possesses Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) registration Series 7, Series 63, and Series 65 or 66 licenses and State of Hawaii Department of Insurance Life, Accident and Health license.

 

Experience: 

  • Two years of experience in a brokerage firm to include customer service and sales experience.

 

Technical Skills: 

  • Ability to use a personal computer and is proficient on Microsoft Office software, including Outlook, Internet Explorer, Word, Excel, and Access. 
  • Knowledge of life insurance products.

 

Other Job Qualifications: 

  • Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills. 
  • Must have well developed analytical and problem solving skills. 
  • Must be able to effectively interact and create relationships with Consumer Clients.
  • Possesses networking and business development skills.
  • Must be able to provide own transportation and ability to commute and arrive at intended destination in a timely manner and/or as required.
