A day in your life as a Intranet Web Designer & Report Analyst

Manages and directs the design and creation of highly visible branch and frontline staff websites and pages that serve as on-demand communication and educational tools. Responsible for quality assurance, accuracy and keeping pages fresh and up-to-date for all websites managed by Training & Support Center. Works with department managers, product managers and other business units to determine, gather and document requirements to develop, organize and maintain optimal resources for branch and frontline staff to execute operational procedures and processes in compliance with bank regulations. Ensures web development is in alignment with corporate procedures/protocols to minimize operational and technical risks. Assists in prioritizing numerous requests by various lines of businesses to maintain content. Collaborates with Manager to implement small to medium scale projects that relate to the overall strategy of the Division. Manages assigned projects for new branch technology and completes projects by gathering information, planning, and working closely with internal business units to define requirements, set objectives and meet established deadlines. Keeps Manager informed of project statuses and assigned work with various teams.  Collaborates with Branch and Community Banking compliance staff on various project initiatives.

Tracks hits for all web pages, conducts analysis, and provides reports to Manager to review and determine usefulness of content and pages posted. Takes initiative to analyze trends, study internet websites, and implement user friendly tools and techniques to enable branch and frontline staff to effectively engage with customers, efficiently fulfill requests, and build relationships for the future. Manages conversions of website development software, including SharePoint, HTML, CSS, and/or JavaScript; oversees assigned team to update, test and implement changes/enhancements. Maintains knowledge of current laws and regulations to ensure compliance issues are addressed in all phases of projects.

 

 

Independently designs and develops surveys, certifications, input forms, etc. to gather data from branch and frontline staff for analysis or processing by TSC and senior/executive management review. Takes initiative to conduct research and utilize internal resources to determine usability and accuracy; submits required iRequests to engage required business teams and works closely with technical team to complete back-end automation. Performs analysis and prepares detailed reports to present information in numerical, graphical and/or written formats for timely and effective management review and decision. Creates PowerPoint presentations, spreadsheets or detailed documents to present visual, engaging, analytical data for senior and/or executive management review.

 

 

Assists in developing and coordinating initiatives for project plans (including but not limited to: schedules, checklists, and/or timelines), and works with external vendors as needed. Reviews document of understanding, user requirements and project deliverables to ensure project plans are executable and meet Branch and Community Banking’s and/or the bank’s objectives and standards.

 

 

Performs all other miscellaneous responsibilities and duties as assigned.

 

 

This position requires use of a personal computer, other standard office equipment (fax, copier, calculator, telephone).


Qualifications

Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution with major in Web Design, Graphic Design or other related study or equivalent work experience. Strong foundation in graphics, visual design, usability, typography and color theory.

 

 

Minimum 4 - 5 years of work experience designing/developing websites and/or related design/graphic design experience or equivalent work experience.  Banking and/or financial service industry experience requiring knowledge of products and operations highly preferred. Requires understanding of site analytics and general survey theory, and the ability to capture, collect and analyze data, as well as produce professional reporting/presentation materials for management.

 

 

Demonstrated proficiency with personal computers in a network environment and Microsoft applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint and SharePoint) and Adobe Acrobat, and Photoshop) or similar software.  Requires experience using HTML, CSS, and/or JavaScript to develop websites, pages, and other design related functions. Experience using Photoshop CS3 and higher is a plus. Knowledge of or ability to use Bank software and systems.

 

 

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including presentation skills. Must be analytical, detail oriented and organized. 

 

Should be able to analyze complex situations quickly and recommend solutions and alternatives.

 

Must be self-directed, able to meet deadlines and handle multiple priorities in a demanding environment. 

 

Demonstrated effective and efficient team player.

 

Able to work flexible hours including holidays, weekends and evenings as needed.
