A day in your life as a Portfolio Management Officer:

Under the direction of the Manager, Team Leader or Senior Portfolio Management Officer, the Portfolio Management Officer I (PMO) monitors the credit quality of existing credit relationships and works closely with the Corporate Banking Service Representative (CBSR) to ensure that all administrative functions related to existing credit relationships are completed in a timely and accurate manner under the close supervision of a Sr. PMO. In addition, this position is responsible for conducting sales and relationship management activities utilizing Excellence in Sales/Service (ESS) disciplines and behaviors.


We’ll give you these important responsibilities…

  • Assists a Sr. PMO in monitoring client financial condition.  Assists in reviewing of periodic financial statements, covenant compliance, and current industry, marketplace and competitive conditions.  Assists in the validation of risk rating.   Analyzes cash flow projections and provides input in formulating alternative risk scenarios; performs other due diligence as necessary.
  • Prepares Credit Approval Memorandum (CAM) package and written summaries. Ensures the accuracy of the content of these documents.  Obtains approval from appropriate bank officer.
  • With the assistance of the CBSR, tracks, monitors and insures that updated financial information and compliance certificates are received and reviewed based on the established terms and conditions of each assigned credit transaction. 
  • Assist Sr. PMO in facilitating documentation process with external attorney and/or Bankoh Loan Center (BLC):  Prepares advisement letter for CBO, if appropriate; Orders documents from external attorney and/or BLC for timely delivery to client.  With the assistance of the CBSR, ensures that BLC receives all required documents to book the credit transaction.  Obtains approval for waivers or follows up for missing, incomplete or other documentation discrepancies.

  • College degree in business or related area, or equivalent business and/or business credit work experience.



  • 3-5 years of business experience with 1 year or less of commercial credit or commercial lending experience.


Technical Skills:

  • Strong analytical skills and must have a thorough understanding of all aspects of financial statement analysis, including cash flow lending.  
  • Formal credit training participation helpful. 
  • Verbal, written communication and client servicing skills, which meets BOHC’s established standards. 
  • Interpersonal skills. 
  • Personal computer skills; working knowledge of MS Office and other spreadsheet and database programs.
  • Must be flexible in availability and mobility to perform required job functions.
