A day in your life as a Private Bank Marketing Program Manager

Under the direction of the Chief Operating Officer, this position is responsible for developing, planning, implementing and supporting the division’s strategic direction and overall client experience of The Private Bank. This role will manage key marketing & branding delivery, knowledge experience, service & communication improvements aspects of The Private Bank.  This includes planning, executing, monitoring and measuring service delivery and results. Ensures business unit’s compliance with applicable laws, regulations, regulatory requirements and Bank policies and procedures, including but not limited to those related to Fair Banking, Anti-Money Laundering laws and regulations, Bank Secrecy Act and USA PATRIOT Act.


We’ll give you these important responsibilities…

  • Develops and enables The Private Bank strategies; implements marketing plans to drive business growth and meet business targets.  Partners with Marketing to coordinate, plan, and implement client events, educational seminars, collaterals, logo items, and other Private Bank related Marketing and Branding activities/materials/services. This includes managing Marketing project plan & budget, defining the project scope, timing and deliverables Manages strategy development from beginning to end. Tracks results and evaluates progress and timeliness.  Updates status reports and conducts status meetings as necessary. 
  • Manages The Private Bank division site and partners with Digital Channels to oversee web pages for The Private Bank.  Oversees The Private Bank communications and technology experiences and workflow processes, contents design and delivery, including but not limited to tools and resources design and delivery. Provides communication contents and write-up as needed for client issues evaluation and recommendations.  Maintains market and industry intelligence on current and future trends and best practices to include but not limited to conduct regular review of market trend and studies competitor activity to identify opportunities to create a competitive advantage.  Plans, evaluates and consults with business units and external vendors as appropriate on additional client experience tools or needs. 
  • Manages measurement, reporting, and evaluations to enhance the overall client experience at The Private Bank.  Develops, trains, analyzes and implements service and quality standards to ensure optimal service delivery to clients.  Manages the Private Bank customer experience and consults with other internal support channels to drive exceptional experience including branch delivery, online, mobile and the Contact Center.  Provides regular review, analysis, and evaluation of issues and resolution for the customer services program and product improvement, as needed. Enhances and develops infrastructure, operations and cross-division training to support the business, including consultation with service operations area to drive development of procedures and routines for front and back office functions. Partners with Marketing and HR to develop materials to train and develop The Private Bank employees and other stakeholder groups on new and current products and services, cross-selling opportunities and quality standards.
  • Performs all other miscellaneous responsibilities and duties as assigned.

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution or equivalent work experience. 
  • Major in business or related area preferred.



  • Minimum 5 to 7 years of work experience in related positions of progressive responsibility in retail banking and/or other financial service industries, with responsibilities or focus including—product development from inception to delivery including managing budget and project timelines and reviewing sales and marketing trends, facilitation, process improvement, customer service, strategic planning, communications and consultation experiences. 
  • Should include at least 3 years team leadership/supervisory/management experience or significant roles on large scale process improvement or division-wide initiative teams.

Technical Skills:

  • Demonstrated proficiency and advanced expertise with personal computers in a networked environment and Microsoft applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, Power Point and SharePoint) or similar software. 
  • Knowledge of or ability to use Bank software and systems. 
  • Should have advanced spreadsheet and PowerPoint presentation proficiency.

  • Self-starter who requires minimal supervision, with the ability to work across multiple departments and divisions.
  • Must demonstrate a combination of business acumen, analysis skills, strategic and creative thinking.
  • Should have a good understanding of Bank organization, business, products and processes. 
  • Must be flexible enough to work on multiple projects that may require restructuring due to shifting demands, unforeseen events and changing priorities.
  • Demonstrated competencies in the areas of planning, leading, organizing, directing, process and project management, and conflict management.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong working relationships/partnerships with a strong collaborative and consultative approach.
  • Possesses strong design, strategic planning, and problem solving skills to identify business and experience improvement opportunities and risks, implement change, and reinforce internal controls.
  • Demonstrated strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills to all levels of management.
  • Must be able to provide own transportation or to operate a vehicle with a valid driver’s license, and commute as required. 
  • Travels by air as required. 
  • Must be able to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends and holidays as necessary or assigned.
