A day in your life as a Segment Marketing Specialist:

Under the direction of the Segment Marketing Manager, this position is responsible for developing, leading, and executing the marketing projects targeting the mass affluent and high net worth client segments. Marketing projects to include all disciplines of marketing including but not limited to segment brand, advertising, direct marketing, events, promotions, collateral, digital and online marketing, and supports the creation of an exceptional client experience. Key responsibilities include project management, strategic and creative development, deployment and delivery of marketing pieces, vendor management and direction, budgeting and tracking, and post-analysis. Assists in business unit’s compliance with applicable laws, regulations, regulatory requirements and Bank policies and procedures, including but not limited to those related to Fair Banking, Anti-Money Laundering laws and regulations, Bank Secrecy Act and USA PATRIOT Act. In addition, this position is responsible for demonstrating the Excellence in Sales/Service (ESS) philosophy by participating in and practicing ESS disciplines and behaviors.


We’ll give you these important responsibilities…

  • Directs and manages the creative development, production, deployment and delivery of marketing communication pieces. Participates in the development of marketing and communication strategies that enhance the brand, generate awareness and sales of products/services, and optimize client experience to enhance engagement and drive revenue. Marketing projects to include all disciplines of marketing including, but not limited to, segment brand, advertising, direct marketing, events, sponsorships, promotions, collateral, and digital and online marketing. Originates and leads projects through meetings with lines of businesses and product managers, and provides ongoing project management through all phases of production with both external vendors such as agencies, copywriters, and designers, as well as internal partners and cross-functional teams. Ensures quality control of final products.
  • Manages the segment brand logo merchandise. Responsibilities include the online store system, vendor relationship, accounting tracking and reporting, inventory management, customer service and ordering, delivery, and item presentation. Communicates and recommends options for executives and relationship officers.
  • Researches information, organizes content, and provides writing and editing support for marketing communications. Directs and manages the deployment of marketing content for the segment.
  • Coordinates the overall marketing calendar and initiatives for the segment. Maintains and organizes a system to share information and updates to affected areas across the organization. Oversees results tracking and completes project post-analysis and written project recaps which highlight key learning and performance objectives. Submits quarterly performance highlights to Manager.
  • Manages and executes the budgeting and accounting activities for the segment. Administers the procurement process and provides monthly forecasts and variance narratives to Manager.

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution with major in marketing, communications or other related field of study, or equivalent work experience. 



  • Minimum 5 - 6 years of related experience in an industry targeting the affluent segment or marketing, advertising, public relations, or project management in a creative field, or a mix thereof. 
  • Proven experience and understanding of either the affluent segment or marketing communications. 
  • Ability to work with various levels of management to manage projects with minimal supervision.   
  • Must have understanding of budgeting and basic accounting.


Technical Skills:

  • Demonstrated proficiency with personal computers in a networked environment and Microsoft applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint) or similar software.
  • Knowledge of or ability to use Bank software and systems.


Other Job Qualifications: 

  • Demonstrates excellent communication (both verbal and written), presentation, inter-personal and analytic skills. 
  • Ability to build and maintain strong working relationships/partnerships with a strong collaborative approach. 
  • Must be able to work with all levels of management.
  • Possesses strong project management and organizational skills, as well as leadership ability. 
  • Have demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple priorities, and operate with a sense of urgency.
  • Must also demonstrate diplomacy and tact.
  • Able to provide own transportation and arrive at intended destination in a timely manner. 
  • Must be able to work evenings, weekends and holidays as assigned. 
  • Able to lift, carry, and move boxes up to 15 – 20 pounds.
